Switched Gears - bought a Starcom digital 1

Well after much deliberation and the fact that I liked my old Starcom I decided on the new Starcom Digital 1 verses the Autocom Pro AVI.

It was just too feature rich to pass up, I am very interested how the seperate rider and passenger cell phone & music inputs work out - I'll let you know how it goes.

Dave,
I will be waiting with bells on for your review. My '06 came without the intercom system and I was really leaning toward the Autocom Pro avi as you were. Now you have peaked my interest in the Starcom...Let us know how hard it is to hook up. And which headsets you are using. Thanks

Will do - This system is going into my R12GS Adv - a tankbag install.

I will be installing everything next Friday (11th).

I bought the headsets with both speakers and the 3.5mm plug because I do like to use my Shure earbuds at times. For the phone hookup I have a bluetooth Motorola HF 820 adaptor to use with my Bluetooth MotoQ9h. My GPS is a 2610 and I will be installing an iPod as well.

Both helmets are Nolan N102

One thing I am going to try and do is route the input to the passenger headset (my output) to my video system so I can narate.

Re: Switched Gears - bought a Starcom digital 1

Sounds like the install that I will be doing on mine.

Did you buy SWT-01 and MUS-03 to use the speakers and/or headsets? I am curious if the rear speakers will cut out as well. It seems from the limited information on the Starcom site that only the fronts get disconnected.

I guess you could use the fader to remove the rear speakers from system when you switch to headsets.
