HF820 Bluetooth Issue

I hooked up a HF820 bluetooth to my COM 1 unit and it seemed to work perfectly. Great sound quality through my helmet and from what people said the sound was good on the other end.

However, I noticed that with the HF820 connected it kills my normal audio - radio, CD, etc. I get nothing through my helmet, only from the speakers.

Any ideas?

Cheers - Jack

I feel your pain but have nothing to offer other than play with it.

If your intercom has some kind of "squelch" adjustment for that channel you might try to adjust it..

Mine, (Intaride) works flawlessly with my motorola pebl.

probably not squelch but the same principal...you might be getting a small ammount of noise thats causing the channel to stay open..

You do have it in the cell phone channel right ?
Some channels have priority over the others and any signal at all will cause it to override.

Good Luck

I have tried my HF820 with the BMW Voice II , my Nokia phone, and my StreetPilot 2820. It works fine with the 2820 except when I am listening to XM radio on my 2820. When the HF820 connects to the 2820, it mutes my XM feed. I have to call Garmin on this but have not had a chance yet. If you have a Nav III with bluetooth, I would expect it to work correctly with the HF820 since the Nav III doesn't have XM

Have you tried it connected directly to your Voice II not through the 2820?

Yes..The HF820 is physically connected to the Voice II cell phone jack using the BMW 2.5mm male phone connecting cord. I also typically have the 3.5mm output jack from the 2820 to the Voice II aux jack so I can listen to XM, mp3 from the 2820 in stereo.

My cell phone and the HF820 are connected to the 2820 via Bluetooth.
