External Speaker volume resetting on 2007 K1200LT

I have a problem with the speaker volume on my 2007 K1200LT I hope someone can help with. I have the Voice II intercom with Helmet speakers. Consequently, I turn the external speakers off. However, everytime I start the bike, the external speakers are turned on and the volume is reset to low. Is the normal behavior and/or is there a way to save the external speaker setting?

Thanks

Jim

This issue was documented a year or so ago. The fix that was posted was to turn the loudness button on. It worked for me even though I thought it was really a stretch. Use the second button from the left on the bottom row of your radio to set the loudness function on. You should find your settings will be retained. Wierd, isn't it/

thanks

This is fantastic. I'm glad that I asked, because it would never have occurred to try that. But that fixed it.

Good to hear. You owe your thanks to the original person who posted this fix as it would have never occured to me either to try that.
