Mounting the Baehr

When installing the Baehr I found that the battery terminal on my replacement battery (Odyssey pc680) were tall enough to keep the velcro from being able to properly adhere. I decided to make a plexi bracket that would give me an extra 1/4 inch plus the thickness of two layers of Dual Lock Velcro.

I cut the plexi to size and used a propane torch to very slowly heat and bend the plexi. The velcro on top of the plexi is used to connect the Baehr and there is velcro below the bracket holding it to the battery strap/bracket.

It was a pretty simple way to avoid relocation of the Baehr and avoid leaving it to move around under the seat.

Interesting idea. You might consider making these for sale to Baehr owners. Mine just sits on top of the battery, as you describe -- i.e., not secured to the battery in any way.
