Pairing RTLC Audio, NAV5, Samsung S5, Sena 10U via BT

Hi Friends,

I've read a number of threads that address iPhones and passenger intercom functions, and pairing phones to receive phone calls, but this simple boy is having trouble pairing the title equipment on my '16 R1200RT. I've read the BMW audio, NAV5, and Sena materials, but syncing them specifically isn't very clear to me..

Currently, I neither try to listen to music on the NAV5 or the phone. I have a USB thumb drive I use for that and the BMW audio system does OK. The problem is, when I pair the audio system to the helmet, I can hear the music, but I'm not hearing navigation prompts from the NAV5.

Can somebody point out the proper sequence of pairing these devices for me?

Is it:
1) BMW Audio to headset,
2) NAV5 to headset,
3) Phone to NAV5

or

1) NAV5 to headset
2) BMW Audio to headset
3) Phone to headset.

or

1) Phone to NAV5
2) NAV5 to headset
3) BMW Audio to headset.

or

something completely different.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Pairing RTLC Audio, NAV5, Samsung S5, Sena 10U via BT

I think I figured it out.

I had previously paired the Audio system to the helmet, and then the NAV5 to the helmet and it had worked fine. When the NAV5 wasn't communicating directions any more I thought something had gone wrong and I tried re-pairing, but still no directions.

What I discovered was that under the Navigation menu on the Wonder Wheel I had the "Mute" item pressed from some time other time when I was probably off track and I wanted to shut it up with the constant recalculating, so it wasn't communicating directions. On the dash piece the wheel uses, there is no indication if it is actually muted or not. Wish it had a "On / Off" status there so you could see which.
