Sena / Shoei RF1200

Anyone install a Sena old style 10 on a Shoei RF1200? Finally decided on the helmet i want but the shell design where the unit would connect concerns me a little. Shared experience would be appreciated.

Re: Sena / Shoei RF1200

I can only assume that it's either the same or very similar to my Neotec, in which case it is a very simple installation. The speaker pockets are plenty big enough so that my upgraded speakers, TorkXPro, which are quite a bit larger, fits perfectly.

Re: Sena / Shoei RF1200

Thanks Pad. I think the helmet shell where the Sena clamps is different on the RF1200. If you look at the pic you can see how the shell curves up and the padding is lower than the shell (over the shoulders), unlike the NeoTech and most other helmets (including my current Shoei).

I am hoping not to have to take my Sena unit off my helmet and go to a brick & mortar to see if it will work. I can purchase direct from Shoei via an industry connection at a nice discount, but I am want to confirm everything will work together in advance of ordering.

Same as my J&M Corp Elite BT on an RF1100. Works great!

clamp between the outer shell and the inner padding!
