1999 GPS system

Greetings.

Does anyone out there have a 10 year old kid I can borrow so they can help me clear and then re-program the GPS unit on my 1999 LT? I'm sure I'm following the manual but this thing seems to have a mind of its own. I'm at the point where I'm going to hang around a primary school with my bike and grab a kid to show me how it works.

Kindest regards to all.

Street Pilot III? BMW Navigator?

Factory reset: Menu/Menu/System Setup/Use the rocker to select each tab & on each tab, hit the Menu key and select "Restore Original Settings".

Greetings danbrew and tmgs.

Thanks for the advice gentlemen. I pulled the fuse while the GPS was running, the screen then showed some amazing patterns and designs before it went dead. I waited a few seconds, replaced the fuse and the unit is now behaving beautifully. It's even doing what the instruction book reads. You little bloody beauty!

Sorry danbrew, I don't have one of those flash looking units you sent the instruction manual for. Full colour, well, how good does that look? Your Street Pilot 111 sure must be fun to run with alright. My 1999 LT has the early Nav system. It features all the colours of the rainbow so long as it's black. I guess black is a colour. My 15 year old niece tells me it is and she knows everything.

Tell me, the CD that came with my nav system shows it's a year 2000 V3. Can you update these for a reasonable cost?

Cheers gentlemen and kindest regards
