How to cache google maps for android and iphone

with the latest google maps update, caching the maps has become some what of an easter egg.

step 1: go to google play store and update your google maps app

step 2: pinch and zoom the area you'd like to save

step 3: do a search and type "ok maps"

once you search for "ok maps" it will save the map area

another way to do it: thanks to "toddfather"

step 1: go to google play store and update your google maps app

step 2: pinch and zoom the area you'd like to save

step 3: tap the magnifying glass on top left and scroll to bottom and click on "make this map area available offline"
