snap lock stud

Does anybody know what a "3M snap lock stud" is and where I might find them?

Happy Easter...

Me thinks not since this is the GPS forum. Mabe you want the Duo-lock stuff that is like sex-less velcro?

I just bout a "trivet" mounting plate from BRM. There are 2 ways to mount the unit in the instructions. The first requires holes drilled on the sides of the radio. The second is to use "3M Snap Lock Studs". I did a search on the net and found nothing.

They recomended step 1.

After about 5 minutes of agonizing and checking location of where to drill 10 times I put holes in the bike. It came out fine.

You are probably better off.

What they were referring to is a type of velcro that looks the same on both sides - no hook and loop. They fit to the bike with adhesive and to the trivet with adhesive and then you press and snap them together. Makes it removable but some times the adhesive gives before the pieces separate.
