My GPS just stopped working for no apparent reason. are there any other model that will fit into the factory mount?

Re: BMW Nav 2

The Garmin 2610 is functionally equivalent and will power up in the cradle however the buttons on the left side will not work. Buttons only work with a Nav II.

Re: BMW Nav 2

2610 is older than old. you can't get maps for it anymore.
2720, 2730 or 2820 fit that cradle too and they too are end of life but use the NT style (compressed) maps which you can still use. I just got map update for my 2820. Good luck they might be hard to find and Garmin will not repair them.
