Nav III Audio Jack

Can anyone explain what the Audio Jack that's located under the 4 buttons on the bottom of the cradle on the Nav III is used for and exactly what is needed in the was of cords or a headset. I bought this '05 LT recently and there were no manuals with the bike. I found a manual on line but there's no mention of the audio jack other than to show where it is on the GPS. It looks like it is a 2.5mm jack.
