Unhappy New Un-Lock code for SPIII

Had my GPS SPIII repaired and they sent me a new one. Also sent a new unlock code.

Can't figure out how to get it to work now. When I turn on, it says, can't unlock maps. It is a new 25 didgit code.

Has anyone had this happen to them and how do you get things working or unlock?

Thanks in advance

I am not an expert but I believe you will need to load the software on your computer, enter the un lock code and then download the maps to your card. Hope that helps

Yep. The unlock code is for the Mapping software, and is linked to the GPS unit, so they likely either sent you another GPS unit in place of your original, or changed components in it that carry the unit code. The map software has to link to the unit, so the unlock code is now different.

Once you get the software unlocked, download the maps to the unit again.

I think the software can be linked to two units max, not sure. That is how they keep people from buying bare units and trying to use copied software.
