Garmin 640 or 665

Had a friendly thief bust out my truck window and steal my GPS640. (Damn kid doesnt know what he's got) So Im needing a replacement.

I purchased the 640 for the weather camabilities and screen size (plus the water maps). But I now see you can get NavWeather on the 665. How are folks liking the 665 and do you see any advantages (other than the water maps) of the 640 over the 665?

My dog is very selective where he will pee, yet he will poop anywhere. In that regard; we couldn’t be more different.

Re: Garmin 640 or 665

I have the 665 and have used it about 1 year now. Have it mounted on '09 RT on BMR Co-Pilot Shelf with a Touratech (all Black) locking mount.

It has Weather, Traffic Camera Light Warning XM, Traffic (all Subscriptions) MP3 and Stereo Bluetooth Capability.

I use it paired with a J&M Bluetooth In Helmet Headset and paired to my Blackberry Storm!

Works like a charm, the sound is outstanding as I have the premium J&M In-Helmet Speakers and the phone capability is great.

Could not be happier!

Price is a bit tall, but Strereo Bluetooth and the XM40 puck are included the latter of which was about and x-tra $200 on previous versions as I remeber like the 550.

It also comes with all the accessoires to use in your car (except a 2nd antenna for XM) You woudl either have to buy another or wire it in such a way on your bike that it would be easily removed and replaced (the wiring connection)

The Older I Get, the Faster I Was!
