Mounting a Garmin 2730 on a RT

I have a new to me '07 R1200RT that I picked up yesterday. I'm looking for the best way to mount my Garmin 2730 with the XM GM30 puck. I would like something with integradted power so I can just pop the GPS in and out and be ready to go. I see some mount units on a shelf above the dash while others use a RAM ball in the steering head. I would prefer not to obstruct the dash if possible. Please point me in the right direction.

I was also eyeing one of those new Garmin 665's in an ad. Very sweet looking, Especially the weather feature. But not sure I'm ready to splurge as the 2730 works just fine.
