Strange Navigator III problem

I installed a Nav III on my 2007 LT with VOICE II and am having a couple of strange problems with it. I also installed a CB at the same time and have having a ton of problems with that, many of which have been addressed in the forums before, but one which I haven't seen and I will post in the CB fourm.

The first problem is that I do not hear any voice commands. I can hear the FM radio just fine so I know the volume on the intercom is OK. I have set the voice volume on the GPS at its max setting and believe the GPS is configured to issue commands. I think it is trying as 0.7-0.8 miles before a turn (when my nuvi gives me the first turn warning) the FM radio will mute as though the GPS is talking, but I hear nothing from the GPS.

Has anyone had this problem? Anyone have a solution?

The second problem I have is that when I try to use the find command and then search for an address, as soon as I hit the address option o the screen the Nav III resets! I can use the other find option, but if I use the address find (the upper left option box), the GPS reboots. I will contact Garmin, but was wondering if anyone had seen this. I updated the software and the map in this unit shortly after I bought it back in February or March.

I have to fess up here that my first problem above was pilot error. I brought the unit in and played with it a little more and found that it had come in car mode rather than motorcycle mode. This seems odd for a unit designed for motorcycles, but I put it in motorcycle mode and now it talks to me just fine.

The second problem is still troubling me though. After checking the Garmin web site to ensure I had the latest software upgrades (and I do), I searched their support database and found nothing. I have sent an email to their support people and hopefuly will get an answer once the holiday is over. It seems to me that this has to be some error in the software and every other meny item I have tried has worked fine. It is only menu items that try to look up locations by street address. I have found two places so far where this occurs and both places cause an instant reset of the unit when this menu option is selected.
