Question Part wanted for Navigator 11

Does anyone have an old Navigator 11,or 111 laying around? On the back of the unit there a plastic piece with a screw in it (top center back of unit) this part is used to hold the Navigator to the cradle on the bike. A call to Garmin and they no longer have spare parts or support.

Any help would be great. The part I need would be the greatest

Re: Part wanted for Navigator 11

I think the screw you're referring to is on the cradle itself and screws down into the navigator. I'll have a look at mine tonight but I'd suspect that it's something could be picked up at most hardware or electrical supply shops. Failing that, there's usually a trickle of cheap cradles from time to time on ebay.

Re: Part wanted for Navigator 11

Ok. I checked mine just now and I think I see the part you're looking for. Is it the small strip of plastic that's held in by the little phillips screw? If so, I assume it's the plastic bit that you need. Correct?

Which Garmin did you contact - Garmin USA? I think there might be a Garmin Europe also and they were very helpful to me last year. I could try to get contact details if you wish.

If all else fails I wonder if someone with the skills needed could turn a replacement part out of a very hard timber?

Steve, I'll try and get a picture tomorrow and post. Do you know if the 2720's worked with the Navigator cradle? The plastic part I need is where the screw on the back of the Navigator (located top center back) goes through. There was an area located there that the cradle would lock the unit to the cradle.

The II is the BMW branded version of the 2820. The body of all garmin (2610- up) and BMW (I-III) are all the same. I think I read that the Garmin will function, but you loose function of the cradle buttons. Not sure as I've never tried...

Not that it matters regarding this thread, but just for the sake of clarity. The Garmin 26xx, 27xx, and 28xx are all the same. As is the BMW Navigator II and III. But the BMW Navigator I is entirely different. Different housing, cables, and mount.

How about the Navigator IV.? Is that one different than the II and III?
