Professional GPS Hood

Here's a hood I've found that really works and just wanted to pass along a referral on a good product.

It's custom made for specific GPS units as opposed to a floppy cloth wrap around.

It's at:

Re: Professional GPS Hood

That's great if you want to spend $25 bucks on a hood...Simple things like that I tend to get some gratification by making myself.

I cut the one for my Garmin out of a nursery flower pot that you get new plants in.

Heated it up with a heat gun and molded it to fit... A little velcro and bam !

It's been working perfectly going on 5 years now....Biggest advantage is that obviously it's much longer and blocks the sun way better than the ones you pay for.

Re: Professional GPS Hood

I made mine from the cover of a 98 cent black vinyl 3 ring binder and velcro. Works great!

Re: Professional GPS Hood

It is a nice hood but does not work with the 4 button cradle on the navigation IV. It is not wide enough so I made my own out of ABS and it works great.
