Red face Navigator III electrical hook up

This is my first post. I am doing a 24000 service on my K1200Lt and have her undressed with fuel tank removed. I recently purchased a used Navigator III that had been on an R1200 and the Gps works fine. I am in the process of installing a BMW mount above the radio controls but I can't find a connection for the female connection along the wiring bundle on my bike. The salesman at MaX BMw told me that it would be apparent running along the spine of the bike. All I can find are little bundles of capped wires wrapped in electrical tape. can you help?
