Garmin's comparison:

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/compare....areProduct=414

There are quite a few differences. The 660 can read street names as audible directions, where the 550 simply tells you when to turn, and you have to glance at the screen for confirmation.

Something worth considering, the 550 has XM radio capability, where the 660 does not. There are additional costs -- external XM antenna, XM subscription fees, but on the bike a subscription to XM weather is nice. It displays weather radar on your screen. An on-the-road decision to detour around the rain, pull off the road for a cup of coffee, or turn around and run for home can be really useful.

There is a GPS site for Argentina here:

http://www.gpsmundo.com/

They say that there are maps for Argentina and neighboring countries for the Zumo 660. I didn't see the 550 on their site. The XM could have been a deciding factor. I didn't realize that they didn't have it in Argentina.
