Don't have a waterproof GPS - well look here

This is a site in the UK, but will probably be available worldwide.

I'm sure it could be adapted to another fitting, and will keep you cheaper none waterproof Satnav protected.

One Gucci, oops I mean Givi, designer case - $65. One Ziplock bag - $Priceless

Sorry but I just couldn't resist. It looks like a workable option for some of the Nuvi, Tom Tom or similarly styled units. Putting a rain cover on it in nasty weather will likely make it difficult to impossible to read the screen and may make the touch screen unusable. If you have audio I guess it would at least still give you directions. If you are in heavy rain for extended periods I wouldn't count on moisture not making its way to or even into the GPS. For most sane riding conditions it will probably work just fine.

Living in Seattle I have tried many waterproofing solutions for GPS and other electronics. There are pretty good solutions for many devices that do not require much rider interaction. However, I will never buy another GPS that will be exposed to the elements that is not rated at least IPX-7 waterproof. I have had and too many negative experiences. YMMV

I bought a pelican case thinking I would put my radar detector in it, but it was way too big to put on my ram mount. Looked awful. Read lots of stuff on other sites about it. A guy called Radar Ron (who runs the radar test site) mentioned he just put a small shower cap over his. (Not a bad idea) I found that a zip lock bag works very well. Slips right over the Escort & ram mount, & zips right up to the ram mount. It would probably take the freezer bag size zip lock to fit over the gps. Haven't tried that yet, since my gps is on a mount where the map light used to be, & doesn't get much precipitation up there. I keep the zip lock bag in my sting ray. YMMV
Gonna use the pelican case for spare bulbs, fuses, etc.....
