Anyone got a 2820 available??

I was going to pick up a Garmin 2820 when they were $279 but I got sidetracked. They keep going up and down and at this moment they are in the $400s.
Anyone have one they want to part withor know a place I can pick one up?

It comes and goes at overstock.com for 299.99 USD ... they aren't in stock today. Keep checking around ... you'll find one.

Re: Anyone got a 2820 available??

I originaly went to www.getfeetwet.com when I was ready to buy. Thats when I saw the change. Saw Amazon too. Very strange at the price range. Even found a few for $199 but all sold before I could grab it. Best price at the moment that I have seen right now is $449. And only a few weeks ago there were far too many to count for under $300. Go figure.
Supply and demand of a discontinued line ???

Re: Anyone got a 2820 available??

My bust. I looked at the unit and I have the Nav III with all the stuff plus the locking tool I do not want to keep. I responded with this info.

Re: Anyone got a 2820 available??

I too have been watching these 2820's. I purchased one w/ a GXM30 off of Ebay back in the Spring and waited to start an XM subscription until the end of June. Guess what? I had a problem and the unit would not recognize the XM antenna. I then attempted to connect to PC and could not. Bad mini-USB jack. I did some research and found someone who repaired theirs on ADVRider forum and followed their procedure. The jack is mounted to a board and one of the five "feet" on my board was bent slightly. I straightened it back up and reassembled and now it works. I was going to purchase another 2820 when they were in the $175-$200 price range. Can't touch them now.

I am now looking for an Autocom #1298 module so I can connect the 2820 to my Autocom system.

Best,
