Cool Bmw navagator III

Anyone try to download the motorcycle vehicle on your Garmin Navigator III. I download the Canyon racer today and it says it transferred but wont come up.
Thanks Tim

Re: Bmw navagator III

I've been using the Nav III since its inception, but I have no idea what you are talking about. Could you please enlighten me. Thanks.

Re: Bmw navagator III

I am having the same problem on my Navigator 3. On the settings menu it gives me the option to select "motorcycle" as my vehicle on the screen, but after I select it, I still only see the triangle. I have also tried to select "car" "truck", but on the map screen, it only will display the triangle. What gives? Guess this is one reason it has been discontinued....

There is also the possibility that since you're using the rebranded unit, the vehicles from the Garmin Garage maynot work. It is just a thought.

Re: Bmw navagator III

Oh, I just got mine Saturday. I was attempting to install it and everything was in the box, EXCEPT the "security screwdriver". Going back to the dealership tomorrow to attempt to get one or get one ordered. This is the tool that looks like an allen wrench, except the screw it fits looks like an allen set screw with a pin in the center. It locks the device into the cradle and you have to have it to tighten the unit in the cradle and to remove it from the cradle. A regular allen wrench won't work. Any ideas if the dealership plays being brain dead? Also, does anyone know what type tool this is and if I have to buy one, where?

Re: Bmw navagator III

It's actually a torx tool and not a allen. The pimple in the middle makes it a secure screw for the unit.

You can get a whole set [url=http://www.amazon.com/SMALL-SCREWDRIVER-SECURITY-TAMPER-PROOF/dp/B000FIXXBA]here[url]. Probably a lot cheaper than what BMW will charge for one. I hope that they give you one when they open on Tuesday.

Unhappy Re: Bmw navagator III

Steve, Thanks. I have been through two Nav IIs two and this is my second Nav three (under warranty). Makes sense why the vehicle symbol wont change. have a e-mail out to Gamin to see why. Will let you know what happens.
