2820 loud PING before message

I haven't checked the manual yet, as the 2820 is so intuitive, but wondered if there was a way to lower or eliminate the volume of the ping without lowering the volume of the audible message?

Dan... there are settings to turn off the "Attention Tone" and other audible notifications. From the Main Menu: Settings-General-Audio. From there you can turn on/off the: Attention, Touch Screen, and Key Press tones. Also note there is a down arrow in the lower right corner of that screen which takes you to a second page of that menu where you have other settings to consider, like speed adjusted volume level and some thing else.
