R1200RT pics with TomTom Rider2 & TechMount

Here are some pics of a TomTom Rider 2 and a TechMount 21008 (www.techmounts.com) on my R1200RT. I got an adapter harness from BMW that connects to the stock GPS connector for the power connection (BMW # 83300413585). I am still debating if I want to use the helmet headset that came with the unit, but I like the GPS funtionality. I ordered this through www.Techbiker.com, they had very quick shipping.

While at the BMW shop I also picked up a Powerlet accessory plug, kit PKT-046-48, for a direct connection to the battery (www.powerletproducts.com). I mounted it in the knockout location on the right passenger side of the bike, opposite to the stock passenger accessory plug.

Re: R1200RT pics with TomTom Rider2 & TechMount

Just a followup, trying to get power from the stock GPS connector did not work for me. Plugging the power connector into the GPS would cause the Cruise control not to work. I read on some other posts that the CANbus is tempermental on third party connections, wierd that this casued the Cruise control not to work. I picked power up on the fused side of the extra accessory plug I put in.
