Adding GPS device

General question to the Forum regarding the GPS for K1200 LT.
I'm thinking of adding a ball bracket to attach my Garmin GPS Nuvi 200W device.
Looks like one can replace brake reservoir cover RAM-RC-C $19
or one could be attached on brake lever? Ram-Mount 11M- $16
Planning on taking a couple of long road trips across country this summer.

I dont want to spend more $$ on a smaller GPS device. Does anyone know if these
brackets work OK, hitting bumps, etc. This device is big 4.3" use it for my car.
Does the Garmin nuvi 200w take away from the looks of the bike,,ie; too much visual,
-large dice on the mirror?, God knows I have enough going on with a stoogie in
my mouth. Any advise on doing this or how to? Forum is always good for it.

Re: Adding GPS device

It's all good exceopt it may hinder your view of the mirror. The SPIII there is far too big IMHO. Have you looked at the shelves that go over the dash? Keeps the sun off the readout and the glare off the shield at night. You can attach the GPS on it right in front of you, so no looking sideways

Where did you get the black plastic that is between the GPS and the BMW mount? Will that fit a Nuvi also or just the Zumo?

Re: Adding GPS device

It comes with the Zumo, its the standard mounting bracket, I have a spare one lying around but I believe they only fit the zumo.
Your gpsr must have come with a mount ?

I mounted a Nuvi 360 on my bicycle using a mount that I purchased from the Mount Guys. Here is a link.
Maybe you can find something there for your application
