Garmin 2610 Mounting on R1200rt

I just purchased a used Garming SP2610 for my RT only. I have a C550 for the car. I know there a lot of different mounting options available. I want to know if anyone makes a bracket that mounts to the handlerbar mounting bolts. I saw one on Cycle Gadget but it appears to only mount on one bolt? What is the factory mounting for an RT with the Nav II system?

Ride Safe.

Re: Garmin 2610 Mounting on R1200rt

When I was in the UK (and had an RT), I used the same mount you're talking about....with one hole that goes into one of the RT's handlebar bolts. At least I think we're talking about the same mount...a RAM ball mount, right? I got the RAM-11M mount, and also bought the optional bolt (another $10)...which is a longer bolt that assures proper thread engagement with the mount in place. See picture attached. Anyway, it worked great, and my 2610 was very stable.

I've never seen what the factory mounting is for an RT. Is there any?

I got one of these -- Click here -- from a member of the BMW Sport Touring Forum. It's beautifully made and fits like a glove!
