high pitched squeal from 2820

I just bought one of those 2820's that were on sale at getfeetwet.com. I hooked into the same wiring I was using for my 2610. I have it wired so that the ignition doesn't have to be on for it to work. Well, I noticed that even with the ignition off, there's a loud high pitched squeal coming from the unit. I have the audio going through my Motocomm and I thought maybe that was it, but my XM doesn't do it. I could understand it if it only made the noise while the bike was running, but this is when the bike is shut off. And I didn't hear that noise with my 2610. Any ideas?

That doesn't sound right. Got the same thing you did, wired to the same as my 2710, works perfect. Contact Garmin for support.

I also got one, took the 2720 off, put it on, no problems.

Thanks for the replies. I just fired an email off to Garmin Support. I'll try to call them in the morning and follow up.
