Garmin-TMC Traffic Subscription: associated with the GPS or with the FM antenna?

Hi:

I intend to purchase the GTM-12 traffic receiver for my Street Pilot 2720. Before I do that, I'd like to find out how the subscriptions work with the receiver:

1. Is the subscription associated with the 2720 GPS receiver, or with the GTM FM traffic receiver?

In other words, I move my 2720 GPS receiver between two motorcycles. I am thinking about having a separate GTM-12 traffic antenna installed in each bike's fairing. Would I need two separate subscriptions (one each, for each FM antenna) or is the subscription locked to the SP 2720 GPS and it remains with it as I transfer the receiver to the other bike with the other antenna?

2. I see that a similar FM receiver system is used in Europe. Will the American version of GTM-12 operate in Europe on the free services, or would I need a different receiver when traveling there?

Thanks in advance! Robert.

Found out: locked to the FM receiver cable.

OK, I found out. For those who are curious, here is the reply I received from Garmin's customer support, as usual top-notch. Apparently, subscription is locked to the FM receiver, not to the GPS receiver.

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I am more than happy to answer this question for you, about the GTM 12 traffic receiver and how the subscription service works.
1. The subscription is based on the actual cable itself, so anytime you plug
that cable into a different unit it will work as long as it accepts the GTM 12 model, also meaning technically you would have to have two subscriptions for two of them.
2.The same cable will work for Europe its just we sell different variations of the cable because you dont need the subscription for Europe since their service is Free. If you have any other questions just let me know.
