Re: Best place to buy a Zumo

I just bought a 2820 from www.buyeretail.com new, in the box, $423.00, shipping was 19.00 but even with that, I still think I got a deal. They have good prices on other gps units as well, including the Zumo. Another place you might look in www.pcnation.com. Real nice folks as well.

One way I found these places is by just "googling" - "Garmin Zumo best price" or in my case the Garmin 2820.

Other forums and sites I have searched, www.advrider.com, www.stromtrooper.com, edgegps.com, gosale.com, buydig.com, tigerdirect.com, thegpsstore.com, getfeetwet.com

Good luck and let us know if you find a bargain. BTW, some folks will reccomend Ebay but I try not to do business with them, my own personal and business reasons. Some riders live on Ebay...

I just a 550 from getfeetwet.com. Service was good and the price with GXM30 was about as good as I could find. They had some very good deals on the 2820 refurbs.

Try amazon.com. They will list many outlets for the Zumo w/prices and shipping info.

Be careful of these places, check out this thread:

I ended up ordering from Abes of Maine.

Re: Best place to buy a Zumo

I bought a new 550 from GPScity.com $675.00 and it was new from the factory with the 2009 map update for free.... not the refurb units...
I think they might have free delivery on this unit.

Re: Best place to buy a Zumo

I tried to buy a Zumo 550 from 86th St Photo & Video the other day for $529. Seemed like too good of a deal, but went for it anyway. Got the call from them wanting to confirm the order and then it went downhill from there trying to sell me a bunch of add ons that I didn't need/want. After the phone call, got the email that once my order had been sent down to shipping that it was suddenly on back order. Did a little more research and found that this is a common problem for these type of discount GPS dealers, especially in NYC area. Cancelled the order and went ahead and ordered from Amazon knowing that I'm getting what I ordered without any hassles as well as the ability to return without problems as well. I think that is well worth the extra $ that I'm spending for the Zumo!
