Exclamation I hope I'm wrong ... regarding the 2820's audio output

I was hoping that I could send my cellphone's audio out of the 2820 via a Bluetooth connection, meanwhile sending the mp3 player's audio (and XM audio) out via the 3.5mm stereo port. But I don't think this is possible. It either all comes out of the 3.5mm port, or Bluetooth to my HF-820. If I'm correct, THAT SUCKS!!! What is Garmin thinking?!

Please ... someone tell me that I'm wrong.

On the Zumo, you have the option to specify what audio goes through bluetooth. I have mine set to "phone only" so only phone stuff goes through my HF820. Audio (MP3 and XM) and navigational voice prompts go though the audio jack.

Not sure whether the 2820 has the same options. Look under the Bluetooth menu, maybe?

That's exactly what I was hoping for on the 2820, but I'm afraid that option is just not there. ARGH!!! I guess all I can hope for now is that the 2820 will receive a firmware update that will enable that feature. That is, if the hardware's architecture can support it as well.

It's always something...

I emailed Garmin. I'll post after they respond...
