Inexpensive GPS suggestions.

Hey guys I am looking for a GPS, thatís not costly.

I have the Baehr K1200lt intercom so hooking it to the com system should not be a problem.

Iíve been looking at the Garmin 2720 for under $300.00. Is this as good as I can get for the money.

I appreciate any advice.

Thanks Mickey

That is probably the best bang for the buck. I paid more than that for my used 2720.

Re: Inexpensive GPS suggestions.

We have a $300 Magellan Crossover, waterproof, and we are quite pleased with it. Look for my other thread posting very shortly on "Progress update", I have a photo of the mount I made for it using an old tripod.

A trip that used to take me 4 hrs +, I made at night, in the rain, through Philly, in bumper to bumper 75+ MPH traffic, and made the same trip in 2 hrs and 10 mins. That sold me!! Only listened to the commands, and had no trouble.

Only issue left to work out for the bike are the sun shade and getting the voice command to my helmet. For the money, we are very please. AND, battery life is nearly 6.5-7hrs. I also bought a 3 yr warranty on Ebay for $30 I believe.

Last I've seen of them, there were available at Walmart. I bought ours on Ebay.
