Anyone have a Quick start they'd like to share? Just got a 02 LT E and need a lesson in the use of the navigator.

Re: how to: navigator

Take it off the bike and use it in your car for a month before you kill yourself.
That's not a 'How To', but it is sound advise.

Actually, just go to the Garmin web site and download the documentation for your unit. They are all available as PDF files.

The rest of the interface is pretty user intuitive. Some hands on time connected to an AC adapter in the house is usually a good thing. Regardless of using it a car or motorcycle, in neither place should you play with it while moving. You set the destinination before you move and only look for locations (find button) while stopped.

We just got a GPS 2 weeks ago. Turned it on and followed the instructions. We punched in the address to our inlaws house and it asked us if we wanted to GO so we touched GO and away we went. You can play with it and it won't do anything to make you wish you hadn't. We then went and got in the car, set an address and headed there. Then we turned on a different street and it recalculated the way there. It was kind of fun trying to fool the GPS. The other cool thing is when you look for gas stations or places to eat etc. It will advise you of the places that are the closest to you and then preceed to show you places that are farther and farther away.

Cheers, Bill
