Use SP 11 cable to power ZUMO???

I am replacing my SP111 with a ZUMO 550 and hope to avoid removing the Tupperware. Is there an adapter to connect the SP 111 power cable to the ZUMO connector? If not, would there be a problem associated with splicing the ZUMO plug onto the SP 111 cable, provided I weatherproof the splices? I think the audio cables are the same but if not would the same thing (splice) work?

Re: Use SP 11 cable to power ZUMO???

That's a great idea, I might have to look into that as well. I have the factory mount with the cable that comes with the bike. There was never a GPS unit on the bike, but when I get the zumo, I may have to look at this to see if I can do it.

Does anyone know what the other end of the factory wiring is connected to?

Hey Guys
If your interested in splicing in to wire the Zomo to the factory Lt harness check out

Work your way through it looking for undocumented features,2650,SP26x0 and 2650 pinouts. The pin diagram sure looks like the Lt plug in.

If my zomo doesn't work like my 2720 I may consider the splice.
