Screen protection

I have a 2720 Garmin SP.

What is a good film to install over the touch-screen? Would a Stylis also be highly recommended?

Thanks for your help.

Thumbs up

There are several out there that are very good but now that I found the ClearTouch by BoxWave, I do not use anything else. They are available for just about any electronic device with a screen and they are reusable. Peel them off, wash them, and place them back on. This to me lends itself pretty well to use on a weatherproof GPS. Check them out here: ClearTouch

The site also has an Anti-Glare version as well.

Thanks for the tip, Ive been looking for something like this. I ordered the anti-glare from boxwave for my 2610. I wonder if this will have any effect on the "cloud" problem?

Just stick one of your fingers in a pencil sharpener and that ought to do it.

That would mess up the sharpener though!

Hi Jim, Would you mind telling me how you get on with your anti-glare? I am in the market for something to improve the daylight performance of my "Mio" gps and was considering building a hood of some sort but would like to save myself the trouble.
Kind regards, Simon.

Use my 2720 everyday...no screen protector needed. If you'd stop pickin' your nose Brett, you wouldn't need one either!

And that is quite a feat with gloves and helmet on...!

It is EXTREMELY difficult to pick your nose with a full-face helmet and gloves on!

Once on the end of the finger, it is easy to flip on those tailgaters!

One word of caution, don't get polarized film... if you cock your head to one side or the other while wearing polarized sunglasses or through a polarized faceshield, the whole screen will appear to go black.
