Talking gps mounting & hardware

Thanks for all the great info !
I've decided to go with the Zumo 450 and now I need some help with mounting and hardware. I want to go with the shelf above the instrument panel and would like some help.
Thanks

Kosmo, I got the following repoly from BMR re. Zumo mounting:

Hi Gilles,

The BMR Slotted Mounting Bracket is ideal for the Zumo and all GPS Units. It mounts front and center on all of our Co-Pilots for perfect unit to eye

Placement. The Garmin cradle that comes with the Zumo mounts to the Slotted mounting bracket with its supplied hardware.

I have seen two different shelves to mount things. One is the BMR and the other is the RCU. What is the difference besides price? Is one better than the other?

RCU shelf

I recently installed the RCU shelf on my 2000 LT for a Garmin 2820, the hockey puck XM antenna and a Valentine 1 radar detector. Fits great and having the the GPS on top of the instruments more in line of sight is the way to go for me.
