Zumo Mounting

Planning on ordering the 550 from Costco and looking for different mounting options. Does anyone make a mount that holds the unit between the handle bars?

I mounted mine to the BMR Co-Pilot shelf system (http://www.bmrproducts.com/products.php?cat=1) using Ram mounts.

Re Costco: as my friend Lynn Keen (who LOVES Costco) told me, the 550 Zumo is not available at Costco stores - you'll have to order from Costco's Internet web site. As such you'll be charged shipping and, in many states, sales tax.

I ordered my 550 Zumo a few days ago from GetFeetWet.com. Other members of this list have had good experiences with these folks (as have I). Better price than Costco (also a better price than tvnav.com), lower shipping charge, and no sales tax.

I just finished (just today) making my own between the handlebars mount for my Zumo. Soon I will try to get and post some pictures on how I did it. Basically it is a half inch aluminum bar that goes from one mirror hole to the other with the Zumo factory mount attached. The placement is just perfect! Now if it only passes the rough riding test.

Zumo

Get feet wet has a bundle deal--under $900 for the 550 and XM puck. The Zumo comes with Ram mounts for motorcycle use and suction cup mount for auto use. I still have not wired the Zumo yet. Plan to have the dealer do it in a few days.
