tomTom with motorola v3 and baehr/autocom

Here is how I got it to work, although both Baehr and Autocom and Tom Tom and Motorola said it won't.

I have a Motorola V3 bluetooth phone.
Before I had a NOKIA phone and had to buy this adapter to get from the 2 ring cable to the 3 ring needed for the phone.

That worked to get the phone to the AutoCom, worked for the Baehr as well.

Then I bought a Motorola V3 and had to get another adapter(ebay $6)
you can see the M on the adapter. That worked for the AutoCom, does for Baehr as well.

Enter the TomTom Rider. has a blue tooth clip on device to put the speaker in your helmet. I didn't want to use that as I had the Autocom and now the Baehr.

I was able to use the AutoCom adapter( 2 ring to 3 ring) to plug into the bluetooth of the TT. Then connect to my bluetooth phone through the TT. Works like a charm. If you don't have the TT you can use the Motorola adapter to plug into the Autocom or Baehr.

You can also have two cables, one for the phone and one for the TT. I find the direct connection to the phone better than going through the TT. It has more volume.

I have not tried voice dialing with either.
You can answer calls on the TT with the touch screen but you can not initiate a call while moving. You can initiate the call then start riding though.

I will be routing cables into the oddments box through a hole in the back that I drilled out for the AutoCom cables.
