Question '06 LT Buyers: NAVIII Costs?

Greetings All,

BMW of Fresno received the promotional NAVIII GPS for my '06 LT today. Evidently, the kit is generic and may not include everything for mounting the GPS to my bike. Anyone else go thru this? If so, how much out-of-pocket cash did you spend to get the "FREE GPS" installed on your new bike? I'm just curious if this "deal" is really much of a "deal". Guess I'd better go re-read the offer on the BMW website while waiting for replies. Thanks in advance and please be safe over the holiday weekend.

Bruce

Okay, looks like I'm blazing the trail here. I'll keep you all informed on how much "free" ends up costing. Cheers

Talking Free GPS is FREE!

Three cheers to BMW of Fresno

Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Hip, Hip, Hooray!!

Hip, Hip, Hooray!!!

Total out of pocket cost for NAVIII installation: $0.00.

I still think the Father-Company's advertising is misleading, but Jack (Owner), Steve (Service Manager), Homer (Sales), Al (Parts Manager) and Mel (Technician) are right on. Good people all the way around.

Well, that's it for now... I've got new buttons to play with....

In South Florida $241 with tax, plus a Saturday. Good learning experience anyhow. Would have been free with the prep kit.

Forget any letters that you get from BMW saying they include all the parts. They don't. Considering the amount of work, confusion, and grief involved, I have nothing but praise for the dealer relative to what I paid. Not a lot of money for what I'm finding to be a really neat toy.

Mine came in and the dealership installed everything. The total bill (other than the bike) was $0. I don't know if they ate the costs or not but they did a great job.

It was BMW of North Dallas. They are generally great to deal with.

Waiting for mine to come in. good for me the prep is already there because the dealer had a Garmin2 on the LT. I told them I'll wait for my Garmin 3 how long did it take for you to get it?
