Nav II Screen Problem

The last couple times I have used my Nav II I have had issues. I get a "white" patch appox .5 inches tall by 3 inches long across the middle of the screen. I goes away only when I disconnect power to the unit. Any ideas?

Also, the extra buttons on the left side that are part of the mounting work only intermittently. Most of the time when they do work, they stick. By pressing in, it sticks and goes in as far as possile. Same for the out buttom.

Third thing - I am trying to disable my remote to get rid of the "sun" changing pages on me. I have seen a "fix" here using menu-options-general-disable remote, but I have no "disable remote" function.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

How old is your Navigator? Maybe covered under BMW warranty (one year for unit, but standard 3 years / 36K miles if bought with the bike). If it's not covered, then maybe contact Garmin about a warranty repair or refurbishment.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
