Wireless in a wired environment

Attached is a schematic on how I was able to use the Garmin 2820 with my existing OEM com system.

Any one get the old pro 7 autocom to work with the gps/blue tooth phone.
And yes my phone is one of the phones on garmin's web site.

That schematic looks like you're using the radio's AUX IN for the GPS voice commands. If that assumption is correct, that means no music (via radio, CD, CD changer) if you want to hear the voice commands. Unless of course you have another music source. Does the 2820 play mp3s? ( I can't keep up with the newer Garmin units, and their specs. )

Hey Joe,

The configuration uses the AUX in thru the single CD, no more J&M com system. MP3, XM and voice naviation all go thru this. I can now control volume on the handlebar.

See updated diagram.
