Smile BMR/Touratech install

Received my BMR CoPilot shelf today and installed it.
I used the cross bar bracket and the Touratech locking mount, as the standard (non-locking) was backordered....(what a piece of art)................................
Well, it prevented my C. Bailey #2 windscreen from going all the way down.....................
Blast !!!
After another bottle of barley, I thought "if I can modify a BMW, I can sure modify a Touratech mounting thing."
I cut off the "cable holder", and the 1/2" protrusion behind the lock, dressed it all up with a file and..........Viola !!! The windscreen goes down without contact.
Although I added two clear bumpers where the windscreen was "close." A good thing because if it didn't work, I'd have to explain to Karen, when she gets home, how I broke that thing that she thought I'd payed too much for.

I use a ram mount off the clutch M/C cover for my TT mount but want to do the BMR shelf. I also have a #2 with wings C/B shield, do ya think you take a few pics of it so I could see what it is going to look like? Thanks

Same thing happened with mine. I hope your mods gave you enough clearance. Check how much room you have when your going down the Interstate at, ahem, speed. You'll be glad you addded the bumpers.

I love the BMR shelf, it shades the instruments and looks great.
