276C question

I saw on the Garmin website that they have GARMIN 276C UPDATE version 4.10 to 4.30.
Has anyone done it?
Does your GPS still work?

Yes ma'am. But it wipes out all your waypoints and routes in the process. Sigh....

Download all your waypoints to a file on your computer BEFORE updating your software. I learned that last time.

Wow, woulda never thought of that one. When you attach the GPS, just go to Explorer, find the temp device, open that and look for what file extension?

do you not have mapsource? or the waypoint manager? the waypoint manager is free if you don;t have mapsource, you can then dl your waypoints to it
