Garmin Customer Service - 5 Stars!!!

My one month old Garmin 2720 touchscreen went on the fritz, mostly because of my own fault, and I contacted Garmin for a repair. Did they fix my unit. Nope. They replaced it with a brand new unit. No charge, even though I was the one who broke the touchscreen. 7 days from the day I stopped at the UPS store to send it up to Garmin. Now that's customer service!

Same here

I pretty much abused the cord on my XM puck to failure. They replaced it without a problem. Same 7 day turnaround...

I'll try to be more carefull with this one.....I promise... \

See you in about 3.5 weeks...

It's great to see a company that actually cares about the happiness of its customers and will work to show it.

Thums up. Customer and Tech Support have been great to work with. I bought a refurb'd Streetpilot III on ebay, and despite being an obsolete model, Garmin has upgraded City Nav to v8.0 for free, helped in getting the Mapsource and firmware upgraded, and clarified how to transfer maps and routes.

Agree. My 2720 has been replaced twice - First time the audio port got fried when I tried to connect it to my intercom. Second time the USB port died. The good news is unit number 3 has been solid for a long time now and Garmin always turns the unit fast, fast, fast!

Thumbs up Garmin Customer Support is great!

When my touchscreen coating came off they replaced my 2610 no questions asked.

When I was getting ready for a trip and I need to update the maps, and they didn't have the version 8 DVD's yet, and they were out of stock on the version 7s, so Carl Huffman (thanks Carl) in customer support got permission to make me a copy of version 7.

Now if the Zumo just came with "Twisties" routing mode.

Great folks
