Anyone try this?

Company issued me a Mobile 5 SmartPhone -- XV6700. This baby does Email, Mp3s, Pics, Vids, etc... Then I heard that there are GPS recievers Avail that this thing can talk to via BlueTooth. I was thinking MP3, Web Access, and GPS in one mount.

Has anyone tried this?

My fear may be accuracy of the GPS reciever and or Software on PD

Good software is available for PocketPC 2000+; I have not looked into the latest Windows Mobile 5. The biggest issue you will run in to is power. Both GPS and Bluetooth will drain most PocketPC/Smartphones in a couple hours or less.

I think the 6700 will charge over a USB cable which is only 5v (I think). You should be able to hack a car charger and hard wire 12v to it instead of the standard cigarette plug.

Check out Handago.com for software.

I was going to do the same thing w/ my iPaq, but decided the power issue, difficulty to operate w/ gloves and small screen made it not worth it for me.
