Installed the Wunderlich GPS mount on my 2009 R1200RT last night...1 hour start to finish.
Nicely made, instructions adequate...like most folks, I found a few things that will improve the install:
1. Remove the windshield - it really helps in getting to the two top mounting bolts.
2. The bolts for the underside reinforcing bracket (that attach it to the short brace that goes over the dash support 'tongue') are too long- substituted shorter bolts (same length as used on the GPS swivel mount).
3. You need both a T25 bit (for the Tupperware) AND a set of metric Allen wrenches (for the 2 longer Wunderlich-supplied top bolts).
4. It helps if you have a small ratcheting bit driver to get to the top bolts...Harbor Freight has a cheepo one for about $3.
I thought about going with a Ram ball mount down near/on the bars, but with this setup it's in the perfect position to see it above the instruments and doesn't get in the way if I use the tank bag.
Shipping was fast (but I live on the West Coast).
This is a really well-made unit, and in my opinion worth the money.
