Talking Touring in Europe

Hi Guys, I'm brand new to this exciting new world of touring. I don't even pick up my 2003 LT until next week
I am part exchanging my sports bike so that my wife and I can spend some time together touring through France into Italy this summer
I've been lurking around the various forums to get a taste of the LT world,
and one thing that is now worrying me a bit is the amount of equipment needed to be carried when abroad, such as breathalizers, reflective clothing, warning triangles etc
Is there anywhere I can look at that will tell me what each country requires the rider/pillion to carry with them
By the way, you have an amazing community here. I am amazed at how helpful you are to each other. Now I know where to ask when I have a problem

Re: Touring in Europe

Hi Chris, beware of the French page, it seems to be the 2008 state of things, they don't mention the breathelyzers.

Re: Touring in Europe

Surprisingly the AA has a page on driving abroad - and it seems to be current with the French regulations (please hand over your credit card & pin to the nearest police officer! )

http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice...eas/index.html

Yes it is more towards the car, but there is a section on motorcycles on the country page!

Best regards
Sleuth
