hello from across the pond

I did a little ride about in your neck of the woods two years ago and had such a great time I am planning another trip. I will be arriving mid July. The last trip I tried to ride Grossglockner pass but snow and ice stopped me. Is it worth trying again? I will be starting in Munich and will be visiting friends in Prague. After Prague, I plan on riding areas I missed in Switzerland, Austria, and Italy. Maybe a day or two based out of Innertkirchen. Any advice or tips?

Re: hello from across the pond

Hi
I am pretty sure nothing will be closed at that time of year.
Some links for you:
http://www.alpentourer.com/alpine_passes/ - good planning site

http://www.alpineroads.com/passes.php - passes opening dates

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Motorcycle-J.../dp/1884313329 - great book

Have a great time - I hope I will be so lucky this year again (see the vids in sig to see some of the routes I took)
