Shipping LT to Canada or USA - advice please

We are planning to ride some of the Rockies, starting in Canada and heading South to the States, for three to four weeks, so thinking about shipping our own LT as opposed to hiring. Anybody had any experience of shipping from UK to USA/Canada

Thanks Nick

I think Ari is probably the expert on this one...

I believe it's way cheaper to ship it to Canada and then ride across the border...

I'll bet Ari will chime in here as soon as he can...

Hi Nick

if you want to fly your bike over the Atlantic then Canada is your only option. Here is the company that I used back in 2006.

They fly bikes also from UK ports and Calgary would be a very nice place to arrive to.You can also get all the insurances you need and crossing the border with your own bike is no big deal.

More about this on my blog below.
