Barnett BMW in El Paso Thumbs Up

Out making a little ride with a friend and we are going to stay in El Paso for a few days while he visits family. I was in need of a front tire and he had to go to the big HD place for his bike. Same place but two different buildings.
I walked in and Jim the parts guy asked if I needed anything. "Tire" was my reply and he said "I have one". Tell him make and model and he looks it up in the computer, one left in the Metz brand. He can have it on by the end of the day. No hurry for me because our motel is right next door and my buddies bike is going to be in the shop for four days.
Looking around the shop they have a fare amount of bikes but not too much gear. The shop was clean and seemed to be well kept.

Later that day my tire was put on but I was told to come to the back and look at my rear rotor as it was in bad shape. Seems my not too old brake pade have eaten into my rotor and it was badly scratched up. Also the front pads were almost gone. OK, need two sets of pads for the front, one set for the rear and a rotor ($$$$$). Not in stock. Ordered but I am still in no hurry since we will be there for five days and my buddy is going to be down as well so a taxi is going to be needed either way.
Day and a half later my parts are in the shop and bike is getting put together. Set free in three days and everyone in the shop (even the HD shop) were top notch and very friendly.

Stevie, get a RTE on a Saturday and I might be able to make it. I'll even hug your neck. Gonna be gone again for another couple weeks but then....

I'm going to try to get a weekend off in July as David K is getting an RTE together.

BMW has a VOR probram that gets parts to dealer fastest way. VOR = vehicle off road.
