Sierra BMW... negative ordering experiences
I ordered some of the Kuyrkyn-style “BOB” pegs from Sierra BMW, out of Nevada. After almost 2 weeks of watching the order status sit in "Processing", I started to send Emails and call. Unfortunately, I did all this on a Monday, when they were closed.
Tuesday morning, I called back and spoke to a gentleman there (Name unknown). I was told that they had a significant of them come in with the chrome bad, and were sent back, but some would be in that very day, and I would be called back to see it could be shipped the same day. I got a call an hour later, and was told that "good news, we got some in, will ship today, you will have it by Thursday". While I didn't appreciate their lack of communication, I did appreciate their follow-through, and was glad to be getting the pegs I wanted for my long, 3000 mile ride 2 weeks later... BUT….
Then the emails started coming back. They said it would be at least a week before they could ship. After a couple rounds of these, I called again. I spoke to a gentleman named "Alan Kuffel" who was responding to my emails. He told me that it would be at least a week before they could ship, and when I explained what I’d been told, he got into "who did you talk to?" (AKA, “Prove it”) mode. Then, rather than investigating it himself, he forwarded me off to shipping, explaining they might know about it, but probably was not in - and, of course, they weren’t. My last email to them was along the lines of 'ship it or cancel it'...
While always polite on the phone, I am frankly shocked at the lack of communication, lack of coordination, and run-around I've gotten from them. I'm waiting for my final email back, but not holding my breath... It's a shame - I wish I had done a bit of research on them first....
